Today I would like to share a scrap of paper in Mom’s handwriting that I found when going through some of her things awhile back. Being able to preserve memories such as this is another reason why I scrapbook — and also why I blog! Had God’s timing been different, Mom would have become a blogger right along side me.

Somehow today I have realized I feel like I’m really going to get through all this Dr-ing, radiation, etc.
Don’t know if it is the past 9 days of sunshine, which I’ve enjoyed more than I can say, the fact that there are only (?) 5 more treatments, or knowing that Dick and Margaret are going to Barbara’s & Lee’s 50th Ann. All help enormously I’m sure. Also off & on all day I’ve worked on getting the Treasure Room ready to accept all the “stuff” from the Guest room. Looked at & put in plastic sleeves many wonderful artistic pages of all kinds of artists.
Anyhow, I’m going to be over all the tiresomenesses soon and be “me” again. HP
Mom was finishing up her chemo for breast cancer when she wrote this. The chemo, along with follow-up meds, allowed us to have her another seven years, for which I will always be grateful. (Dick and Barbara are two of Mom’s siblings. I kept her spelling and punctuation as she wrote it.)
My mom, the adventures we had together, and the family stories she shared, is the main reason I scrapbook. Here are a couple of my favorite pictures of her. They will become a page before too long.
I have finally buckled under the pressure and added a gmail address…so my “official” CTMH email address is now email@example.com. This should solve the problem of my monthly customer newsletters being “bounced” rather than delivered because the yahoo.com system and CTMH’s gmail.com system aren’t communicating well. Let’s hear it for technology!
This was a “receiving” day for me. Not only did I get a certificate from Close To My Heart officially congratulating me on my promotion to Supervisor, signed by our founder, Jeanette Lynton, but the goodies I chose for winning her “Bucket List” contest in April arrived, too. I chose a square pendant in Antique Gold from our Base and Bling Collection. And for even more fun, the pendants and their glass covers come in packs of three, so all I need to do is get two more chains to have enough to share.
I also received my “Win-it Wednesday” prize from Stacia Brandt at <a href="Scrap Stuffz by Stacia.”>Scrapstuffz by Stacia — a cute set of Snap Insta Squares & Pieces – Dog. I will have fun putting together layouts using these with some of Olivia’s pictures of Chance.
I’d like to introduce my new favorite product: The Large Organizer. I don’t think the photo in the Idea Book does it justice. This is a very attractive box, with a lovely scroll pattern etched as a border around the box sides. As you can see from my photograph, it is translucent and holds up to 40 My Acrylix stamp sets in an upright and easy-to-access fashion.
As soon as it arrived today, I sat down and organized all my My Acrylix stamps by category. This will make it SO much easier to find the stamp I am looking for when planning a project. Retail price: $22.95
